Givin' what you got, 'cause you got a lot!

Memory Verse: “Be rich in good deeds… be generous and willing to share.” • 1 Timothy 6:18

 

Week 1:
Bible Story: How to Be Rich (Paul’s Letter to Timothy) • 1 Timothy 6:17-19

Bottom Line: Give what you’ve got, ‘cause you’ve got a lot.

This week in Upstreet we talked about what it means to be rich.  A lot of times we think that someone is rich when they have a lot of money or tons of toys and kicks and stuff, but we learned that God sees it differently. That He says we become rich when we do good deeds and share with the people around us.  That actually by giving stuff away, we get richer.  Kind of like the Grinch (the one “Who Stole Christmas), generosity actually makes our hearts grow bigger and our lives become way richer than our piggy banks could ever be. So in small group, we vowed together to become rich this month!
